Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, recently participated in the Ganpati Visarjan ceremony in Mumbai. The mother-son duo, who hosted the deity for five days, dressed up in traditional attires to perform the immersion rituals.
Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to share a heartwarming picture from the Ganpati Visarjan ceremony on Instagram, featuring herself and her son, Ranbir Kapoor. In the post, Ranbir is seen holding Ganpati Bappa's idol, and Neetu is seen carrying a ‘kalash’ (a small holy metal pot with coconut, leaves, and flowers). She captioned the image, “Pudchya Varshi lavkar Aa ,” which translates to "Come soon next year," a common prayer among devotees during the visarjan. The post included a joined hands emoji, symbolizing prayer, along with a shoe flower emoji, honoring Ganpati's favorite flower. This event highlights the Kapoor family's cherished tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion.

The Kapoor family has a long-standing tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm, a legacy passed down from the late actor Rishi Kapoor. This year, Ranbir continued the custom by performing the visarjan rituals alongside his mother.
The Ganpati visarjan ceremony was started by the legendary Raj Kapoor at his RK Studios, along with his father Prithviraj Kapoor. The filmmaker-actor was known for celebrating all festivals at the studio with his family and crew members.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen playing the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayana. He will be sharing screen space with actor Yash who plays Ravana and Sai Pallavi, who will essay Sita in the epic-drama.
