Actress Neetu Kapoor took a trip down the memory lane on late actor Rajiv Kapoor’s birth anniversary. Sharing a photo of him with Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rima Jain, and Babita Kapoor, she wrote, "In remembrance Rajiv Kapoor”.Rajiv Kapoor passed away on February 9 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.
Fondly called ‘Chimpu’, Rajiv Kapoor was the youngest of Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor's five children. Following in the footsteps of elder brothers Randhir and Rishi, Rajiv made his entry into Bollywood as an actor and later also branched out into filmmaking.
Having made his debut with the 1983 film ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ with Divya Rana, he went on to star in films like ‘Aasmaan' (1984), 'Lover Boy' (1985), and 'Zabardast' (1985). His big break came with the lead role in ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ (1985), which was also his father's last directorial.
After a long break of almost 30 years, the actor made his comeback with the film Toolsidas Junior. Helmed by Mridul Mahendra, the film was posthumously released on May 21, 2022. The film even bagged a National Award in the ‘Best Feature Film’ category.
