Nawazuddin Siddiqui leaves for London to shoot his next

London

to shoot for his next. The film, titled ‘

Sangeen

’, will be directed by Jaideep Chopra and also stars

Elnaaz Nourozi

. Nawaz shared a picture on his Instagram account announcing his departure for the UK capital. He wrote, “Off to London, aware of the tough conditions but… The Show Must Go On! #SangeenStartsInLondon.”


Nawaz said that after sitting at home for so many months due to the lockdown, he was looking forward to immersing himself in work with back-to-back shooting schedules.

Apart from ‘Sangeen’, the

actor

also has Kushan Nandy’s romantic flick, ‘Jogira Sa Ra Ra’ and Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s drama ‘No Land's Man’ in his kitty. In a recent interview, Nawaz revealed that he enjoyed playing ‘dry characters’ that do not focus too much on emotions. He admitted that the characters that were close to his heart were often not liked by audiences. Referring to his characters in films such as ‘Photograph’ and ‘Patang’, he said that the audience often did not like to see ‘ordinary’ characters on screen because they enjoyed drama and emotions. Sharing his point of view, Nawaz said that he preferred to portray characters that were not over-the-top and more realistic. He also said that the role of late Balasaheb Thackeray, which he portrayed in ‘Thackeray’ was very close to his heart and he enjoyed exploring that particular role.
