Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar began the first day of Navratri with a temple visit, marking a spiritual start. She was last seen opposite Ishaan Khatter as Sophia Kanmani Shekhar in the Netflix series ‘The Royals’.

On Monday, the actress posted photos from her visit to Jammu’s Bawe Wali Mata Mahakali Temple. She captioned the images with, "On the first day of Navratri, from the sacred Bawe Wali Mata Mahakali Darbar in Jammu, may the divine blessings of Maa Kali bring strength, energy, and new successes into your life." In the pics, Bhumi was seen dressed in a navy blue co-ord set paired with a red dupatta.






Plot of series ‘The Royals’


‘The Royals’ follows the story of Prince Aviraaj Singh, played by Ishaan Khatter and Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, a self-made CEO portrayed by Bhumi. The series opens with Sophia winning an international entrepreneur award in Sri Lanka, where she first encounters Aviraaj. Despite their initial clash, circumstances bring them together at his family's inherited palace, which Sophia plans to convert into a luxury bed-and-breakfast.


Upcoming project: Web series ‘Daldal’

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar will be seen in the highly anticipated web series ‘Daldal’, where she portrays a fierce cop named Rita Ferreira. The series, directed by Amrit Raj Gupta, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. It tells the story of Rita, Mumbai's newly-appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), who embarks on a gripping investigation into a series of murders while grappling with her own troubled past.
