Naseer remembers Ravi

One of Hindi cinema’s brightest lights Ravi Baswani (Chashme Budoor, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron) passed away on July 27.
His close associates including Naseeruddin Shah paid homage to this brilliant actor a few days ago. Naseer, who made a very touching speech, told fellow mourners that whoever wished to speak about Ravi should preferably recount the lighter moments of their association with the actor.Ravi passed away on his return from Nainital where he had gone to scout locations for his own film. Naseer felt that if people wore morose faces the departed actor wouldn’t be as happy as he would if he saw a room full of smiling people. Ravi’s pet of many years Shishupal also passed away soon after the actor’s death. Ironically, Ravi had found a hotel that would accommodate him and his pet during the outdoor of his directorial debut. It is unfortunate that both the actor and his dog left for an altogether different location, without seeking any permission!
