Nandita Das to replace Tabu in period drama ‘Virata Parvam 1992’?

Ever since it was announced, there has been a lot of buzz around the upcoming Telugu film, ‘Virata Parvam 1992’. The movie, directed by Venu Udugula, features Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. While Rana plays a police officer, Sai plays a Naxalite, who is in love with him.
Apart from Rana and Sai, the period film also features Priyamani and Zareena Wahab in pivotal roles.Buzz was also that Tabu will be seen in a significant role in the film. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, Tabu will not be a part of ‘Virata Parvam 1992’. Seems, she had to opt out because of some date issues.
Needless to say, Tabu’s exit has posed a major problem for the makers of the film. After all, it’s not easy to find a replacement for an actress as talented as Tabu. While various names are doing the rounds, there’s strong buzz that Nandita Das will step into Tabu’s shoes. According to reports, Nandita has even received a script narration.
‘Virata Parvam 1992’ is said to be a romance drama, which will also have a lot of action and politics.
