Namrata Dixit's letter to her orthodox father

Namrata Dixit who made her debut in I Am Kalam was all set to pursue her career in journalism.
She even took up a job handling corporate media and was succsessful at it too. But there was a hitch! She wanted to act. Asking her orthodox father for permission would have been a task and Namrata didn’t have the nerve to do so either.
So to avoid confrontations with her father, she penned a letter to him, expressing what she really wanted to do.“That too, when we lived in the same home, as I was not sure whether he would relent! But he gave me the go ahead. I could not believe it and here I am,” she laughs. After I Am Kalam, Namrata, is now in talks with a few filmmakers for their ventures. Director Puri Jagannath has offered her a crucial role in his next. Reveals Namrata, “I have just auditioned for my part in Hyderabad, but I can’t talk much about this!”
