Singer and musician Sonu Nigam performed at Amruta Fadnavis' Bacche Bole Morya event at the Dome stadium in Worli on Wednesday. The event which celebrated the efforts of thousands of children who had made eco-friendly Ganesha, were seen enjoying Sonu's performance as he had everyone singing to his song, 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. In a chat with the star singer, Sonu shared how he has been getting Ganpati at home ever since his son Nevaan was born. He said, "We have been getting Ganpati at home since my son Nevaan was born. Now, we celebrate Ganpati at the Dubai home. I hardly get a chance to be there. But, having Ganpati at home during the festival is a very emotional experience. I end up in tears when it is time for the Lord to depart during visarjan."

Sonu who was honoured with Padma Shri in 2022, added, "Initially we used to get regular Ganpati idols at home, but when the concept of eco-friendly Ganesha caught my attention, we have never gone back to getting regular idols at home. Nevaan makes his own idols with guidance from the artist. I am happy watching him make the idol during the festival. It is important to spread the message of eco-friendly Ganesha."

Bollywood star Salman Khan, actress Sonali Bendre, musician Kailash Kher were present at the event. The event was organised in collaboration with Chhatra Sansad India and supported by BMC and Mumbai Police. The crowds cheered and enjoy Sonu's performance as he sang a few songs.
