‘My relationship with paparazzi is zero,’ says Jaya Bachchan, adding she doesn’t care about being the ‘most hated person’ on social media

The relationship between Veteran Bollywood actor Jaya Bachchan and the paparazzi has always been a hot topic of discussion in the industry. The actress who has charmed the world with her acting skills is known for a sweet-bitter bond with the shutterbugs. Often, it has been noticed that she doesn’t like the camera's panning and zooming in on her, and she has on occasion refused to get photographs. At a recent event, the actress spoke about her opinion and her relationship with paparazzi. She made it clear that she loves and respects the media, but when it comes to paps, her emotions are completely different

Jaya Bachchan says he has zero relationship with paparazzi

During her presence at We The Women Asia, Mumbai, on Sunday, Jaya Bachchan was questioned about her bond with paparazzi. The actress, who is famous for not mincing her words, made it very clear that she doesn’t like it when shutterbugs capture her or try to get into anyone’s space just because they have a mobile phone. At the same time, she mentioned, when it comes to media, she holds immense respect for the profession and the professionals.


“My relationship with the media is fantastic, I am the product of media; but my relationship with paparazzi is zero,” she said in a conversation with Barkha Dutt, before adding, “Who are these people? Are they trained to be representative of this country? You call them media! I come from the media; my father was a journalist. I have immense respect, tremendous respect for such people.”

She then pointed out, “They think they have a mobile they can take your picture and say what they want and the kind of comments they pass.”

Jaya Bachchan says she doesn’t care if she is the most hated person on social media

The actress highlighted that paps can’t be representative just because they have access to social media. She said she is not on any social media and doesn’t even care what opinions have been made about her on any platform.

"It's very strange, one of my staff in Delhi said, I don't watch any social network, because you are the most hated person on social network I said I don't give a dam. I don't care, you hate me, your opinion, you are entitled, my opinion, I dislike you immensely, because you think you can be like a rat, get into somebody's house with a mobile,” said the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ actress.

These words of the actress were followed by a small pap incident that happened right before she entered the event. As the actress was entering the venue, the cameras were waiting to click her, but she refused to give a picture.
