Warina Hussain, who made her Bollywood debut with Loveyatri in 2018, has changed her name to Hira Warina, citing spiritual and numerological reasons. In an exclusive interview with Bombay Times, Hira opened up about what prompted this change in an era when such personal rebranding is rare.
"Honestly, it was a deeply personal decision that had been brewing inside me for a while. I know we live in a time where rebranding or reinventing yourself isn’t common unless it’s for a project or image. But for me, this change was spiritual. I was going through a phase of self-discovery and healing, and I began to understand the vibrations that names carry. After consulting with my numerologist and reflecting on my inner growth, 'Hira Warina' felt aligned with the energy I want to embody moving forward. It’s not about changing who I am, it’s about embracing who I’ve become."
When asked if she strongly believes in numerology, the actress said, “Yes, I do. I’m a spiritual person, and I’ve always believed that there’s more to life than what we see. For me, numerology, energy, and intention are inextricably linked. It’s not blind faith—it’s a conscious alignment of who I am internally with how I present myself externally.
When something resonates so strongly with your spirit, you don’t ignore it. This was a leap of faith, but a very grounded one.”
Looking ahead, Hira hinted at exciting developments. She said, “A lot, is happening actually! The name change is just the beginning of a new chapter, both personally and professionally. There is an exciting news I will be sharing super soon with you!”
She announced the change on Instagram recently, saying, “I've officially changed my name to Hira Warina, a decision rooted in numerology and guided by spirit. New Chapter. Same essence, just more aligned than ever. To those who have stayed close, your love means more than you know.”
