It has taken
Murli Sharma more than a decade to realise his dream of sharing the same frame with
Nana Patekar. He is playing the confidante of the seasoned actor in Praksh Raj's 'Tadka'. An excited Murli says, 'Although we had worked together in 'Apaharan', I did not have any scene with him. I had been offered other films with Nana bhai, including 'Ab Tak Chappan', but nothing materialised.
So, when Prakash anna offered me a role in his film, I just lapped it up. To play Nana bhai's best friend on screen is so enriching.'
Interestingly, the film revolves around two couples and lots of food, and Murli calls himself a 'demented foodie'. He explains, 'I'll leave everything to eat something tasty. I was probably the only one to have found the best vada pav in London.'
The actor who also cooks at home, calls working on this film a gastronomic experience. 'Even though I love food, papaya has never appealed to me. But Nana bhai would always give us soaked badam and papaya. I got so used to it that I texted him after our schedule, saying I missed the papaya he fed me,' he concludes.
