Mumtaz's niece Shahnaaz Randhawa CLARIFIES, she has NOT sung Bobby Deol's entry song 'Jamal Kudu' from 'Animal'

Reports have been rife since yesterday that veteran actress' Mumtaz's neice Shahnaaz Randhawa has sung the viral Jamal Kudu song from 'Animal' featuring Bobby Deol. It all started because Shahnaaz reacted to the song getting an overwhelming response in an interview. She also recalled her childhood memories of her grandmother singing the original Iranian version of the song. Hence, she was familiar with the tune.

Randhawa also explained the song and pointed out intricate details about it, for instance, it has rhythmic finger snapping and clapping enhance its catchiness. All this led to reports that Shahnaaz has sung it. However, she's now denied these reports and issued a clarification. She said, "Wish to inform all concerned, that I am Not the singer of the viral Jamal Kudu Iranian song from movie Animal. I only have knowledge of Iranian folk music, since my childhood. By profession, I am an entrepreneur and a reputed jewelry-designer and please note, I repeat, I am Not a playback singer."

Meanwhile, Jamal Kudu continues to get all the love from fans. 'Jamal Kudu' is made from the original Iranian song 'Jamal Jamaloo'. It was first sung in the choir of Kharazemi Girls High School in the 1950. Composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar reworked on this original version of the song.

Apart from 'Jamal Kudu', Ranbir Kapoor's entry music from 'Animal' which is the violin version of 'Roja' songs combined has also gone viral and gotten immensely popular.
