Actor Guneet Singh Sodhi, recently seen in the Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Tripti Dimri starrer Bad Newz, as Harman Sajita, opened up about his profound admiration for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and how this admiration has influenced his journey in the film industry.
Guneet shared, "I came to Mumbai, seven years ago, at 22, and the first thing I did after landing here, was the iconic SRK's pose - with arms wide open. Not for photos or videos, but because it felt right. To me, Mumbai is SRK land. Even today, on my birthday, I sit outside his house and sing one song—'Chaand Taare Tod Laaun, Saari Duniya Par Main Chaau, Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai'. It fills me with motivation and joy. How lucky am I that all my entry scenes in Bad Newz have SRK's songs playing in the background? It's almost like I manifested it."
He added, “At the premiere of Bad Newz the first person to congratulate me on my performance was Aryan Khan. I took it as a sign from the Universe that perhaps I would get to work with SRK someday soon. Imagine of all people on earth Aryan Khan had to be the first one to appreciate my performance! It may sound strange but I have faith.”
Guneet had been a part of Laal Singh Chaddha where he played Kareena Kapoor Khan’s love interest, has worked in Love Aaj Kal 2 alongside Sara Ali Khan and featured in Rakshak on OTT. Guneet was also a part of a music video with Dhvani Bhanushali, directed by Advait Chandan.
