Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra on Friday morning bid an emotional farewell to his mother, Kamala Chhabra, who passed away on April 13. She was 73. Dressed in white, Mukesh was seen surrounded by his celebrity friends as he got ready for the final rites and funeral proceedings to begin.
A host of actors and filmmakers were spotted offering their condolences to the Chhabra family. Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Sunny Kaushal, and Bhushan Kumar among many others were clicked at the funeral.
Kamala breathed her last at a hospital in Mumbai, where she was being treated for her deteriorating health. She was reportedly in the hospital for the past three weeks. Her condition only worsened despite the doctor's best efforts.
On hearing of her demise, celebs including Deepika Padukone, Farah Khan, Aparshakti Khurrana, Nupur Sanon and others were spotted arriving at the hospital to offer their support to Chhabra.
The casting director had shared the sad news of his mother's passing in a social media post. He also announced that the funeral will be held on Friday at 10 am at the Oshiwara Crematorium.
