Filmmaker returns after sabbatical

Mrunalinni Dayal Patil, who had written and produced Kagaar (2003), and directed Dhuaan (2010), is all set to call the shots once again with two Hindi projects — Love All (tentative title) and Ek Aur Ek Teen.
Says she, “I find making senseless projects almost impossible. So, I took a break to adjust myself to the changing approach to cinema. I will soon start Love All, which will feature new faces.Ek Aur... will be a commercial entertainer starring Bipasha Basu and Jimmy Sheirgill.”
Mrunalinni also has three Marathi ventures in the pipeline — Rakhandar, Kaay Raav Tumhi and Jagrut. “These projects will feature actors like Sonali Kulkarni, Jitendra Joshi, Anuja Sathe, Ajinkya Dev and Ravindra Mahajan, to name a few. Rakhandar and Kaay Raav Tumhi will see cinematography by Jehangir Choudhry, who is working in Marathi films for the first time. The title track of Rakhandar has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan,” she concludes.
