Mrunal Thakur: Sita from Sita Ramam is the kind of character that doesn’t fade away
Mrunal Thakur has a deep love for perfumes, seeing them as emotional time capsules—each scent holding a memory or a feeling long after the moment has passed. Looking at her films through this lens, she says her character Sita from Sita Ramam would stay with her the longest if it were a fragrance.
“I think Sita from Sita Ramam would linger the longest. There’s a timeless grace and emotional depth to her that stays with you even after the story ends. It’s the kind of character you carry with you,” she Mrunal who's the brand ambassador of Ramsons Perfumes.
On a personal note, some scents instantly take her back in time—especially petrichor, the smell of rain on dry earth. “The smell of fresh rain on mud takes me straight back to my childhood. Those monsoon days meant being at home with family and feeling safe and happy. It’s a simple scent, but it holds so much emotion for me,” she shares.
If her life were a perfume, Mrunal imagines it in layers. “The top notes would be fresh and slightly citrusy. It reminds me of my early days in Mumbai, full of excitement and big dreams. The heart notes would be floral and warm, reflecting my journey as an actress, learning, growing and building relationships. And the base notes would be deep and comforting, maybe woody or musky - those are my roots, my family and what keeps me grounded,” she says.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
