Mr. X is the new vigilante in town

Bollywood has seen a number of heroes who have gone to great lengths to protect justice, sometimes by even taking power in their own hands. Among the most memorable are Amitabh Bachchan in Shahenshah with his shining metallic armguard and Anil Kapoor’s Mr. India, in which a common man turns into an invisible, world-saving hero with the help of a special bracelet. Joining this league of vigilantes is Emraan Hashmi, who plays the lead in Mr. X, directed by Vikram Bhatt.
The actor plays a cop who turns into an invisible man and takes the law into his hands, but only to protect it.The protagonist also uses his invisibility to help common people and eliminate villains who are corrupted by power and break laws.

Terming Emraan’s character ‘dynamic’, Mahesh Bhatt, who is one of the producers, says, “He is uncontrolled, but feels a sense of responsibility when he discovers how he can channelise his power for greater good. He chooses to use his invisibility to save the day, instead of using it for evil, menacing needs. Although he takes the law into his hands, he is truly incorruptible.”
Calling Mr. X a family entertainer, the veteran filmmaker further adds, “Mr. X’s invisibility in 3D is the biggest larger-than-life experience the audience will have. Invisibility is a cool power to possess and the audience has always had a fascination for larger-than-life heroes. We’re excited to see the public’s response to Mr. X in 3D.”
Mr. X, produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, releases April 17.
