series, too. The

Hollywood

film had released in 1995. A sequel to the

film

titled, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, had hit the screen in 1997. Fans wanted to see an improved adaptation of their favourite video game. Now, the audience will get another chance to see their favourite characters on the big screen in the upcoming

Mortal Kombat

reboot. The filming of the movie was completed in December and is now in the post-production stage.

One of the producers of the movie, Todd Garner, recently said that the first trailer of the film might be released this summer. This happened when a fan asked Garner on Twitter about the trailer for the film. According to Garner’s comment, the trailer is likely to release six months before the film’s 2021 release schedule. The film will be directed by first-time director Simon McQuoid, who will be working with the screenplay written by Greg Russo. The cast includes Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Jessica McNamee, Ludi Lin, Josh Lawson and Lewis Tan among other actors.
