More and more films these days have multiple music directors

Earlier, all Bollywood films chose to go with a single composer scoring for their films. As tim passed, smaller films intermittently employed a number of composers.
Of late, however, more and more films — especially the big banner ones — are choosing to hitch their wagon to a number of music directors.
Whatever their reasons for doing so, the trend sure seems to be catching on feverishly...
Apoorva Lakhia reasons...
We asked Zanjeer director Apoorva Lakhia why he has used several music directors for his film. He said, “You get to use the perspective of different music directors and can use the person for the genre he is good at. So, I don’t have to worry how a romantic composer needs to give me a item song. Moreover, competition between different music composers makes each one work harder and push the envelope and gives you more options.”
