Mithun Chakraborty shoots for a Bengali film in Varanasi

Actor Mithun Chakraborty was recently in Varanasi for the shooting of the Bengali film Prajapoti. Helmed by director Avijit Sen, the film was canned in various parts of the city. Actor Dev Adhikari was also part of some of the scenes filmed in the city. Taking the holy dip in the rather swollen river Ganga and a boat ride were some of the moments captured for the film. According to Rati Shankar Tripathi, line producer, “Mithun Chakraborty plays a spiritual person in the film who brings his son, essayed by Dev, to Varanasi.”Mithun at Assi Ghat Mithun at Assi Ghat The Disco Dancer actor clad in a traditional kurta-pyjama, enacted some scenes on the Assi Ghat and later filmed a scene of bathing in Ganga, where he also enjoyed the boat ride. During the three-day schedule, the shooting shifted to the famed Banarasi paan shop and lassi shop in the Lanka area. The actor was all praise for these Banarasi delicacies. Rather overwhelmed owners of the shops, finding the actor amidst them, had some fan moments as they clicked some pictures with him.Mithun at Assi Ghat Avijit SenA scene featuring Mithun Chakraborty and Dev Adhikari was also filmed at the Varanasi City Railway Station, where the duo was seen riding a rickshaw.
