Filmmaker Raj Kaushal passed away on Wednesday after he suffered a cardiac arrest. His last rites were performed by wife Mandira Bedi, who was surrounded by friends during this moment of grief. Bollywood has been sharing fond memories of the filmmaker and Minissha Lamba too penned a note of remembering Raj Kaushal.

Minissha Lamba played the lead in Raj Kaushal’s directorial debut ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ The 2006 release saw Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt and Minissha play the leads. “So saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Raj Kaushal.... I remember doing one of my earlier films with him as a director. I remember his energy as a person, his soft spoken style, his twinkling eyes, reassuring smile and the conversations he could hold on various topics.”

Reminiscing Raj Kaushal as a filmmaker, Minissha added, “My time shooting ‘Anthony Kaun Hai?’ with him as our captain was a time of great learning. I shot my first sync sound film with him at a time when it was something only the top three biggest production houses were doing. But he wanted to get every element of the filmmaking process to perfection and no compromise was made on the quality of the product. He was a man of immense energy who would have the time even after a long working day to address issues or just have a meal and be genial with the cast and crew.”

“You will sorely be missed Raj... even though we hadn't been in touch I can imagine the positive impact you would have on the people whose lives you have touched on a daily basis. I wish your soul peace on your onward journey and your loved ones strength,” concluded Minissha.
