After a thrilling teaser of 'Mili', the makers have finally unveiled the film's trailer at an event in Mumbai today. Starring Jahnvi Kapoor in the titular role, the trailer begins with the bonding between Mili and her father (played by Manoj Pahwa). This 24-year old girl is BSc Nursing graduate and stays with her father.
We're then introduced to Sunny Kaushal's character who she's in love with. Mili is working at a restaurant called 'Doon's Kitchen' and later gets locked in the storage freezer room. The film is about her struggle to survive while she's freezing. Will she manage to stay alive? We shall find out when the film releases. The trailer does leave us with a lot of thrill and suspense. Janhvi looks convincing and you already want to root for her as you empathise with her character. The film's tagline itself says, "dying to survive."
'Mili' is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam thriller 'Helen' and is produced by Boney Kapoor. The original version was directed by Mathukutty Xavier who has also directed this. The Malayalam version had Anna Ben in the titular role. AR Rahman has helmed the film's music with Javed Akhtar penning the lyrics.
The team launched the trailer today and Janhvi arrived in a stunning red saree along with her father, Javed Akhtar, Manoj Pahwa and director Mathukutty Xavier.
'Mili' is set to release on November 4.
