Meghna to direct Jaya Bachchan now

Now that association isbeing taken to another level. Meghna Gulzar is ready to direct Jaya Bachchan ina comedy titled 36-24-36. Jaya Bachchan confirms this. This is the second filmshe will be doing this year after Revathy Sharma���s Phir Tum Mil Gaye.Coincidentally, both her films are with female directors and she has neverworked with any female director before. Confirming Jaya���spresence in 36-24-36, the film���s producer Rangita Nandy of Pritish NandyCommunications, says, ���36-24-36 is a charming comedy, very far removedfrom Meghna���s style. Jayaji has agreed to play the lead. We are in talkswith other actors. If everything falls into place, we shoot inJuly-August.��� Interestingly, it was producer Pritish Nandy andnot the director���s father who approached the extra-picky Jaya Bachchan.Pritish Nandy and Jaya have known each other for ages. But this is the firsttime they are working together.
