Meezaan

Jaaferi’s ‘Hungama 2’ may not have been as successful as he had hoped for, but the young

actor

is happy with the way his career is shaping up. In a recent interview, Meezaan, who is Jaaved Jaaferi’s son, said that despite what people assume about star kids, there are several problems that he faces. The actor, who made his debut in ‘

Malaal

’ (2019) said that while the nepotism debate will probably not die down any time soon, he doesn't let it affect him. He added that people are often quick to judge star kids, but he was simply focusing on his career and preferred not to discuss the problems he faced in the industry.

Meezaan added that his own father, Jaaved Jaaferi, had never benefited from his grandfather Jagdeep’s position in the industry. He said that his father had his own struggle and worked hard to make a mark in the industry. Meezaan said that hard work was of paramount importance when it came to surviving in Bollywood and it was the audience that decided whether they liked your performance in the film or not.

Meezaan has worked as an assistant director to

Sanjay Leela Bhansali on

Padmaavat and even assisted the filmmaker on the upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
