"Why does the world carry such a huge baggage about Kaizad? He has just made two films and the whole world is up in arms against him to finish his career. It''s like a personal tirade against him!" Prashanth Narayanan shoots fast in one go.

But who is he to defend Kaizad when the cops, and even his crew members, are raising doubts about him for trying to cover up the death of his assistant director Nadia Khan, while shooting near the Mahalaxmi railway station on May 25?

Prashanth comments carry weight for the simple reason that he happens to be the hero of Kaizad''s film and Nadia''s friend.
"Kaizad liked my performance in Waisa Bhi Hota Hain Part II so much that he went on to write the script of Mumbai Central with me playing the wannabe actor, who is a huge Sanjay Dutt fan.

The guy had such conviction in my abilities. People talk of non-payment of his crew members from Boom. That is his producer''s concern. Kaizad, who is also producing the film along with Piccolo, has already paid me half my fees without even me shooting for a day!" he says.

Prashanth says that they all had a very good working relation with Nadia. "Kaizad knew her from his London days. We hit off really well. She used to love the fact that I sing. One day in office, the makeup guy brought a number of false moustaches. For three hours, she went around walking in the office flaunting that false moustache on her upperlip! The day Universal Studios bought Mumbai Central, Kaizad had thrown a party for his unit members. Both of us were intoxicated and had a blast."

Incidentally, Prashanth was supposed to shoot a day after the accident happened. "A friend of mine, who had got wind of the news from his friend in London, called me up at home to say that Nadia was no more with us. Kaizad is not a fool to shoot in such a place without permissions. If he had such intentions he wouldn''t have canceled the shoots earlier and wait for the permissions. That day Vijay Raje and Piyush were shooting. Everyone was told that to be extremely careful.

Nadia had a walkie talkie and a video camera on her. She must have got distracted, when the train hit her. It''s very unfortunate. With the media going ballistic against Kaizad, one doesn''t even get the opportunity to mourn her death. I wouldn''t know what happened in London that forced Kaizad to lie to Nadia''s family. I hope the film happens, for if it doesn''t, it will be a loss for all of us."

When or if at all, Mumbai Central is going to happen is anybody''s guess. But Prashant himself is a busy in his own track and literally with a compartmentful of films including Rang De Basanti with Aamir Khan, Yatna (the Kiera Chaplin film opposite Soha Ali Khan), Big Boss with Fardeen Khan, a Bhatt thriller with Emraan Hashmi and a film loosely based on Jodie Foster''s Panic Room.
