In the light of the
Me Too movement that has hit the Bollywood industry, Somy talked about the time when she faced sexual abuse. She recalls that she was living in
Pakistan at the time and she would always see signs of physical abuse amongst the older women. Then at the age of five, she suffered a horrific ordeal of sexual abuse at the hands of a house help. She believes that one can’t unfortunately escape it, but can at least remove the shame and stigma surrounding it so that victims can speak up.
