'Me industry se nahi hoon': When Nana Patekar left Amitabh Bachchan moved on why he chose village life over Bollywood glamour
A heartwarming clip from Nana Patekar's appearance on Amitabh Bachchan's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16' has resurfaced on the internet and is going viral. In the video, the veteran actor opened up about why he chose to leave the glamour of the film industry behind and return to his village. The 'Welcome' actor's simple and grounded response has struck a chord with audiences.
Responding to Amitabh's question, Nana Patekar said, "I don't really belong to the film industry. I come here, do my work, and then run back. I've never been someone who attends parties here. That lifestyle doesn't appeal to me. It's just not who I am. I come from a village, and I will always remain a village man. That's where I feel most at home."
Visibly moved, Amitabh Bachchan responded warmly, saying, "It makes us very proud to see that."
Nana Patekar went on to share a piece of life wisdom that resonated deeply with viewers. He said, "Amit ji, I received far more than I ever wished for. Life has given me a lot. When your needs are limited, everything becomes much easier. I truly enjoy that life. In the city, people have walls around their homes. Where I live, we have mountains around us, and we live amidst them. Life is so simple there."
An appreciative Amitabh replied, "That's a wonderful thing you've said," a sentiment echoed by the studio audience and now by thousands of viewers online.
