Manushi Chhillar rejects 'Awarapan 2'
According to Hindustan Times, Manushi has already completed her look test for the untitled film, which is expected to go on floors in October 2025 and wrap up by January 2026.
While fans were excited about the possibility of Manushi seeing in 'Awarapan 2', reports say she opted out due to scheduling conflicts and her commitment to Vijan’s project. According to the reports, the actress has a packed calendar ahead and is already in talks for multiple projects. Reports say that Manushi couldn’t accommodate 'Awarapan 2' and decided to go ahead with Dinesh Vijan next instead. Neither Manushi nor her team has commented publicly on the development.
Dinesh Vijan’s film on fast track
The details of the new film are being tightly guarded, but reports confirm it will be mounted on a big scale. Manushi is said to have wrapped her look test smoothly. With a tentative date in October as its beginning and a completion target for January 2026, the team seems determined to keep the project on a fast track.
'Awarapan 2' moves ahead with Disha Patani
Meanwhile, the makers of 'Awarapan 2' have moved forward by considering Disha Patani to star opposite Emraan Hashmi. Directed by Nitin Kakkar , the sequel is being touted as an intense love story set in the underworld, much like the original. The first film, released in 2007 and directed by
Mohit Suri, had earned cult status over time, with Emraan Hashmi’s performance and Pritam’s music receiving wide praise. Though a box office failure on release, it remains one of the actor’s most celebrated films.
