Manoj Muntashir shares video of Virat Kohli crying after RCB IPL win; says 'Never thought I'd clap seeing my champion cry'

Lyricist and poet Manoj Muntashir joined in the celebrations as Virat Kohli and his RCB team picked up the IPL trophy in a thrilling match on Tuesday.

Taking to his handle, Manoj shared an emotional video of Kholi breaking down in tears at the end of the match. After the final ball, Kohli was seen collapsing to the ground, overcome with emotion. The video, which has garnered significant attention on social media, shows Kohli overwhelmed by the culmination of an 18-year journey to victory.

Sharing the clip, he wrote a post in hindi that roughly translates to, "I am happy but tears came out' Never thought I'd clap happily seeing my champion cry."


In the 2025 IPL final, RCB clinched victory by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs. Kohli, who contributed 43 runs off 35 balls in the final, has been a part of RCB since the league's inception in 2008. Despite previous final losses in 2009, 2011, and 2016, the team had not secured the championship until this landmark victory.


Virat was seen celebrating his big win with wife Anushka Sharma, enveloping her in tight, tearful hugs. He was also seen embracing his former teammate and close friend, AB de Villiers, who had flown in to witness the historic moment.

"What ABD has done for the franchise is tremendous, told him 'this win is as much yours as it is ours. I want you to celebrate with us'. He's been the POTM most times in the franchise despite being retired for four years. Tells you the impact he's had on the league, team and me. He deserves to be on the podium, lifting the cup."

“It’s not just a title. It’s 18 years of belief, of commitment, of giving everything,” Kohli reflected after the match.
