Manoj Kumar undergoes surgery on birthday

It may not be the best way to celebrate a birthday, but veteran actor Manoj Kumar does have reason to cheer — a gall bladder stone, which was causing him acute pain, was successfully removed on Wednesday morning.
Says his son Vishal Goswami, “The surgery has been successful and he is being moved to his room. Since it happens to be his birthday, we are thinking of having a small get-together in the evening, in his room.”
The 75-year-old actor complained of acute pain a couple of days ago and an MRI scan revealed the gall bladder stone.The surgery will require him to be hospitalised for a few days.
Manoj Kumar is popularly known as 'Bharat Kumar' for his patriotic movies like Upkar, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Purab Aur Pachhim and Kranti.
