About Inspector Zende
Meanwhile, on the work front, Manoj will next be seen in 'Inspector Zende'. It has released on OTT platform today.
Inspector Zende is reportedly inspired by the life of famed police officer Madhukar B Zende, known for capturing the notorious 'bikini killer,' Charles Sobhraj. Set in Mumbai during the 1970s and 1980s—when investigations relied on intuition and street-smart tactics rather than CCTV or digital forensics—the film presents this high-profile manhunt with Manoj Bajpayee’s signature quirky and humorous touch.
Apart from Manoj Bajpayee and
Jim Sarbh, the film also stars
Sachin Khedekar, Girija Oak, Bhalchandra Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Bharat Savale, Nitin Bhajan and Onkar Raut.
It is directed and written by Chinmay Mandlekar. Jay Shewakramani and
Om Raut of Adipurush fame, have backed the film together.
