Manoj Bajpayee recalls working with Amitabh Bachchan, says: ‘You can’t improvise with Amit Ji'

Manoj Bajpayee, who has worked with the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan on several occasions, said that Big B strictly rehearses his lines in advance. In an interview, the actor also revealed that Big B can improvise only if he knows his lines perfectly.

At the Bollywood Hungama actors roundtable, Manoj recalled working with Amitabh Bachchan and said that Amit ji rehearses quite diligently. He has done three or four films with him. You cannot mess with his cues. A couple of times, he improvised slightly. Manoj shared an incident where Amit Ji asked him, ‘Listen, have you changed something?’ Manoj replied, ‘I don’t know’. Big B said, ‘I think you’ve changed something'. He called someone over and said, ‘Let’s check the scene again’.

Bajpayee added that with Amitabh, you can’t (improvise). One thing he learned from Amitabh Bachchan is that he likes to rehearse. 'You do whatever you want, but give Amit ji the cue', Manoj said.

Earlier, Manoj had said that Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first few people to congratulate him after 'Satya'. Manoj and Amitabh have worked together in films such as 'Aks' and 'Aarakshan'. Bajpayee recently starred in the chase thriller 'Joram', directed by Devashish Makhija.
