MUMBAI: Actress Manisha Koirala was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra on Wednesday for leg injuries after she fell from a horse-carriage during the shooting of a film in the city.

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MUMBAI: Actress Manisha Koirala was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra on Wednesday for leg injuries after she fell from a horse-carriage during the shooting of a film in the city.<br />The actress was admitted to the hospital at around 4.30 pm and was being treated by a team of doctors, hospital sources said.

The hospital staff said Manisha Koirala''s mother and brother were in the hospital with her.<br />Director (operations) at Lilavati Prakash Mhatre said there was a slight swelling on Manisha Koirala''s right hip which bore the brunt of the fall but there was no serious injury.<br />He said that the doctors treating the actress had advised her total rest and had kept her under observation. She is likely to remain in the hospital for three-four days, according to Mr Mhatre.<br />The actress was shooting for her home production <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Paisa Vasool</span> at Chandivali Studios in Andheri when the accident occurred. Sources said the horse-carriage carrying Manisha Koirala overturned.<br />In view of the accident, the actress may not be present in the Bombay high court on October 5 when her appeal in connection with the film <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Ek Chhotisi Love Story</span> is scheduled for hearing.<br />The actress has sought a ban on certain reportedly objectionable scenes in the film directed by Shashilal Nair. </div> </div>
