Manisha Koirala cancels her birthday plan

Manisha Koirala turned 42 yesterday. The actress, who has made Mumbai her home and Bollywood movies her mission after she decided to end her marriage to Nepali businessman Samrat Dehal, was to throw a birthday party for her close friends including Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Vivek Mushran, designers Ana Singh, Shahid Aamir and a few others.
Manisha cancelled her party when she heard that her guru, dear friend and business partner Ashok Mehta lost his battle to cancer on August 15.
A distraught Manisha said, “Due to the sad demise of my dear dear friend and Godfather Shri Ashok Mehta, my birthday party stands cancelled. May his soul rest in peace.” Manisha worked with the cinematographer on several films including his directorial venture Moksh. The actress and he jointly owned a vanity van that was hired for film and advertisement shootings.
