Manish said that for its time, 'Mughal-e-Azam' was a very glamorous film with unreal opulence and he has tried to recapture that through his signature approach by embroidery instead of sequins, and relying on rich brocades, silks and velvet. Manish and his team have prepared 550 costumes for the entire cast of the play and it took them three months to design it all. The play is being produced by Feroz Abbas Khan and will premiere at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA).
