Maniesh Paul’s taxi encounter in London

Bollywood actor and TV host Maniesh Paul was pleasantly surprised to find out that he’s quite popular with taxi drivers in London, too. He had recently been to the English capital to attend his cousin’s wedding and he had to hire several local taxis to commute in the city. Turns out that the drivers struck up interesting conversations and praised him for his performance on Indian reality shows, too.He had hired about 11 taxis and almost every cab driver refused to take the fare at the end of the ride. Maniesh was stunned by the gesture.
Talking about the incident, the actor shares, “I was surprised when the taxi drivers refused to accept their fare and this kept happening almost everywhere I went. We work for the love of our fans, we work to entertain and to receive such affection only motivates us to work harder. I feel overwhelmed and would like to thank all these generous well-wishers in London.”
