Bedi married Raj Kaushal on February 14, 1999. Tragically, Raj passed away on June 30, 2021, due to a heart attack.
The actress began her acting career in 1994 with the Doordarshan television series 'Shanti', which ran until 1998. She made her Bollywood debut in the iconic film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' in 1995, starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Following this, she appeared in several commercial films, including 'Dus Kahaniyaan', 'Ittefaq', and 'Saaho'.
Mandira Bedi was recently featured in the Netflix series 'The Railway Men', which also starred R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan. In the series, she played the role of Rajbir Kaur, a Sikh woman trying to protect her son during the chaos of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy and the accompanying anti-Sikh riots. The show highlights the bravery of railway workers who risked their lives to save others amidst these tragedies.
