Mallika Sherawat to adapt the American show 'The Good Wife'

A few months ago, BT was the first to tell you that Mallika Sherawat was in talks to adapt a popular American show for the Indian audience. Now, it has been confirmed that she is going to bring the legal and political drama '

The Good Wife

' to India. The series traces the journey of housewife Alicia Florrick (played by Julianna Margulies) who returns to practicing law after her husband gets involved in a sex and corruption scandal. Mallika will not only produce the Indian show, but will also play the leading lady in the desi adaptation. The team is in the process of finalising the rest of the cast and crew.

I love the series, as it features a fierce and beautifully-written female character with enough contradiction, emotional range, and surprise.
