While fame may bring along with it love, recognition and hoards of fans, it has also brought with it unwanted attention. From Malavika Mohanan to Katrina Kaif, here's a list of Bollywood celebrities who opened up about their dealing with obsessive stalkers.

Actress Malavika Mohanan had a tough time trying to ward off the attention of an incessant admirer recently. The star recalled the incident that she said, "was pure stalking". The actress revealed that she first met the man in Chennai during her 'Master' movie release. He followed her to a hotel in Baku (Azerbaijan) and came back to Chennai again. Besides following her around, he also knew that Tiramisu is her favourite dessert and sent some over to her house. "It was a bit unnerving because he was geographically everywhere. This person was tracking me at different places," she said and added, that it didn't 'feel safe'. Although she hasn’t taken any legal action yet, she has asked her team to stay vigilant.

Over the years, Katrina Kaif had many fans crushing over her and hoping to win her heart. When the actress' married Vicky Kaushal, it seemingly didn't go down too well with a fan-turned-stalker, who threatened the hunk with dire consequences if he didn't end the marriage. The Santacruz police later arrested the man, believed to be a struggling actor. He was arrested from his room, where he used his social media accounts to send messages to both Vicky and Katrina. He also edited photos of himself with the actress and called her his 'wife'.

Unlike the others on this list, actress Shruti Haasan was attacked by her stalker in her Mumbai apartment. Reports stated that a man, who had been stalking her for a while, knocked on her door and grabbed her by the neck while trying to force himself into her home. The man was later identified as one of the spot-boys who worked on Shruti's sets. He was arrested and booked under various sections of the IPC.

Raveena Tandon proved she had a heart of gold when she stepped up to provide medical help to a stalker who was harassing her. The man identified as Mahaveer Jaspal Pandav, followed the actress around and even attacked her husband Anil Thadani. The couple sought a restraining order against the man who insisted that he was married to the actress and was only trying to protect her. When informed of his 'delusional state', a sympathetic Raveena offered to bear the cost of his psychiatric treatment.

Sushmita Sen is used to receiving gifts from adoring fans, but things took an unsettling turn when the actress found bridal attire complete with wedding accessories in her mailbox. According to reports, an obsessed fan sent her the gift and later threatened to kill her if she rejected his marriage proposal. Shaken up by the incident, Sushmita took the legal route and reported the events to the police.
