Malaika Arora has been all over the news of late for her love
affair
with
Arjun Kapoor. Although the two have never spoken about their
relationship
in public, Malaika recently got candid about Arjun and how society perceives the
age
gap relationships.
Speaking about finding love again after her separation from
Arbaaz Khan, Malaika reportedly said that she feels amazing to be in love again. According to her, when her marriage ended, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to be in another relationship. She was scared of being heartbroken. However, she added that she also wanted to be in love, nurture a relationship, and this new part of her gave her the confidence to put herself out there and take a chance. She averred that she is glad she took that chance.
There has also been a lot of fuss about their age-difference. Talking about the same, she reportedly said that the age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, according to her we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a ‘buddhi’. When asked when was the big day, Malaika said it was personal.
Malaika amd Arbaaz are also parents to their son Arhaan. When asked how did she manage to tell her son about her relationship with Arjun, she reportedly said that she believes the best way to approach any situation is with honesty. It’s important to tell your near and dear ones what’s happening in your life and then give them time and space to understand and process things. She revealed that she had that conversation and she is so glad that everyone is in a much happier and more honest space today.
