According to News18, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Main Actor Nahin Hoon stands out as one of his most ambitious small-budget films, mounted at just Rs 1.5 crore yet releasing across 100 theatres in four major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. The film reflects a unique blend of scale and simplicity, proving that compelling storytelling can transcend budget limitations," Despite being made on a controlled budget, the film is aiming for a significant theatrical presence.

Directed by Aditya Kripalani, the film, alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui,features a mix of fresh and emerging talent. The cast includes Chitrangada Satarupa, Naveen Kasturia, Ayushi Gupta, and Yasir Iftikhar Khan in key roles. The film was shot extensively in Frankfurt with a minimal crew, while additional portions were filmed in Mumbai. In an unconventional move, the makers adopted an experimental filming technique. Actors performed scenes together in real time through video calls during production.


'Main Actor Nahin Hoon' revolves around a retired banker, portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who dreams of becoming an actor.

He was recently seen reprising his role as Inspector Jatil Yadav in 'Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders' (2025), which premiered on OTT on December 19, 2025. He also appeared in 'Costao' (2025), a crime drama released on OTT on May 1, 2025.
