Maidaan trailer: Ajay Devgn kicks it out of the park

After a long wait, Ajay Devgn’s film Maidaan is finally up for release and the makers have released a thrilling glimpse of the movie. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of Badhaai Ho fame, 'Maidaan' narrates the story of the golden period of Indian football from 1952 to 1962.


The nearly three-minute long trailer delves deep into the struggles of the game and showcases Ajay in the role of an inspiring coach. The actor is all set to hit it out of the park with his performance in this sports drama, which is packed with emotions and thrill.

The film portrays the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, a revered football coach who transformed the sport in India. Rahim's perseverance, guidance, and foresight made him a legendary figure in Indian sports. The film depicts the hurdles, commitments, and victorious instances of Rahim and the Indian football team as they aim to surmount societal challenges and make their mark internationally. Besides Ajay, 'Maidaan' also stars Gajraj Rao and Priyamani and has music by A R Rahman.

The film is slated for release during Eid and will clash with Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj starrer 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', which is helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
