'Maidaan' Final Trailer: Ajay Devgn shines as coach SA Rahim as he brings back football's golden era on the silver screen

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is all set to play the character of a football coach in Boney Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Maidaan’. Today, on the occasion of Ajay Devgn's birthday, the makers dropped the much-awaited 'Final' trailer for the film.

The 2 minute, 23 second trailer begins with Priyamani expressing her concerns to Ajay Devgn (who plays the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim) and saying that he is the only one who believes the Indian football team will emerge victorious at the Asian Games. The clip gives a glimpse of Ajay's efforts to recruit and coach his team, despite facing numerous challenges along the way.

Sharing the video, Ajay wrote, "Dil EK, Samaj EK, Soch EK! Witness the untold true story of S.A. Rahim and his #TeamIndia, aajao #Maidaan mein, in cinemas on April 10th! "




The film revolves around the story of Syed Abdul Rahim, who trains a team of young players from the slums in an effort to introduce Indian football on the international stage. The film is based on the golden era of Indian football, described from 1952 to 1962.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, ‘Maidaan’ also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film will hit the big screens on April 10.
