Mahima is the DJ!

After proving her acting skills, followed by a stint as a homemaker, the pretty Mahima Chaudhry’s all set to turn the tables around.
Yes, the actress is on her way to becoming a deejay. “It’s been quite some time now since I’ve been deejaying. And, I think I can play music well,” said Mahima, who was spotted taking over the reigns of the console at a lounge in Chandigarh recently.
“I have not told anyone about deejaying. I developed a liking for it when I saw some girls becoming DJs,” she said. Mahima specializes in trance, but at times she loves doling out Bollywood numbers. “I am associated with the industry, so how can I forget my roots?” she asks. Also, the buzz is that since Goa is a crazy party destination, Mahima is working to grab a deejaying assignment in Goa. “It’s not happening right now. Maybe at a later stage,” she clarified.
It is learnt that to master her skills on the console, Mahima is shuttling between New York and India very often. “She’s learning a specialized musical genre there from a DJ of international repute. However, she’s married and has a three-year-old daughter, Ariana, which leaves her with very little time. But still she takes out time for deejaying,” said a source.
Mahima is said to have bought a great mixer and player – a complete console, in fact – for practicing at home. “Instant mixing is something I have always loved,” she said. Grapevine has it that Mahima played for two hours at a party, which she hosted at her place in Mumbai. “I plan to cut an album as well,” the actress signed off.
