This was quipped by a film critic after a preview screening of her latest film Utt Pataang where she yet again essays the role of a complex character with elan.
We have seen her make an explosive start to her hindi film career with the role of Paro in Dev.D - wherein she managed to give a new twist to a character played by stalwarts before her. This is what Mahie has to say about her role in Utt Pataang.
1x1 polls
“I play a totally bindaas Mumbai girl which is a first for me since my previous roles in Dev.D, Gulaal and Dabangg were all small town girls.
What really attracted to me was the shades of grey the character portrayed and the potential I could sense from the script. It was also a great opportunity for me to act alongside Vinay Pathak, Sanjay Mishra and Saurabh Shukla - all of whom I have enacted some memorable scenes with,” she tells us. Playing at a cinema near you, Rash Productions’ Utt Pataang is directed by debutant Srikanth V Velagaleti and produced by Aparna Joshi.
