Mahie Gill, Anupam Kher in remake of 'Bhooter Bhobhishyot'

That producer Ratan Jain has bought the rights of Bhooter Bhobhishyot - Anik Dutta’s hit Bengali film about spirits who inhabit an old Kolkata mansion under threat from land sharks - we had already reported.
The latest is Jain has signed five actors a couple of days ago – Anupam Kher, Sharman Joshi, Mahie Gill, Saurabh Shukla and Parambrata Chatterjee. Parambrata will reprise his role in the original while Anupam will portray the owner of the mansion and Mahie will play the actress in the Hindi version.Apparently, Anupam and Mahie’s performances in Special Chabbis and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, respectively, were the ultimate clinchers.
“Anupam was super in Special Chabbis and Mahie stole the show in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns,” Jain endorsed, adding, “The remaining cast will be decided by the end of March. We start shooting in Mumbai in April.” While there has been speculation if Mithun Chakraborty is part of the film, TOI has reliably learnt the veteran actor hasn’t been roped in.
