Alia Bhatt is inarguably one of the best actresses in the country today. She has cemented her position in industry with her performances in films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, Raazi among many others. She is now all set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone, where she will be seen with the likes of Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. The trailer of the film was recently released at an event in Brazil and since then Alia has been bombarded with congratulatory messages.
Amidst all this appreciation, one man is beaming with a lot of pride and that is Alia Bhatt’s father Mahesh Bhatt. In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, the master storyteller tells us that his heart swells to see Alia go places. He says, “My heart soars with pride when I see her standing with the who’s who of international players like Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. To stand there without being pygmied by the idea that it is Hollywood, the young of today don't feel slighted or lesser in any way when it comes to international talent.”
He also added, “I once remember asking her, 'What is it that they have that we don't have?' And her straight reply was ‘Money’. She said it with great humility. She also said that they have a way of doing things and they are very professional but they have money, otherwise we have it all. I think that confidence is very important for the nation".
Alia is currently gearing up for her film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahanii where she teams up with her mentor Karan Johar and her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh.
