Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is debuting in Punjabi films through a film themed on Indo-Pak friendship. Titled,
Dushman the film brought Mahesh to Chandigarh to announce its launch. “I am rather pleased to be part of a Punjabi film, the subject of which is close to my heart. I have always supported peace and harmony between India and Pakistan,” said Bhatt who has been at the forefront of initiatives that attempt to bridge the India-Pak divide from time to time.

Woh Lamhe,
Awarapan, Murder-2, Raaz 3D, Jannat-2 and
Aashiqui-2.

Dushman will have actors, musicians and singers from both the countries. The lead pair will be chosen from India and Pakistan auditions and the shooting will take place in Chandigarh, Lahore and Canada.
The launch of the film was also marked by traditional Punjabi martial arts performances like gatka, and beats of the dhol. To add more pizzazz to this first of its kind venture in Punjabi industry, Bhatt was escorted by a group of bikers from the airport in Chandigarh to the venue of the press conference. He even rode pillion with one of the bikers en route.
