Maharashtra Assembly Election 2019: Deepika Padukone is all smiles after casting her vote

Keeping her look simple and casual, she stepped out in a sweat-shirt over bell-bottom jeans and sunglasses.

The actress arrived at the polling booth sans hubby Ranveer Singh. Nonetheless, she was happy to pose for a few pictures and show off her inked finger after casting her vote.

Deepika has joined the many other Bollywood stars including Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan, Dia Mirza, Gulzar, Meghna Gulzar, Lara Dutta, Ravi Kishan, Padmini Kolhapure who were also spotted in the early hours of the morning arriving at their respective polling booths to vote and encourage fans to do the same.
Elections began on 288 constituencies of Maharashtra at 7 am today and will continue till 6 pm. Counting of votes will be held on October 24.
Maharashtra has recorded a moderate average of around 17.5 per cent turnout till noon, for the assembly elections to the 288 Assembly seats on Monday
Apparently, alarmed by the low turnout, celebrities, political leaders appealed to people to step out and take part in the voting, with similar messages flooding social media, and volunteers going door-to-door to bring out the voters in some areas.
