Holi celebrations are back in full-swing this year. The last couple of years Mumbaikars like rest of India missed celebrating it the big way due to the pandemic. This time around grand Holi bashes were hosted in Mumbai. We caught up with
Madhur Bhandarkar at our bash who was seen celebrating the festival in gusto.
The Babli Bouncer director said, “It really feels great that after 3 years of pandemic the festival is celebrated in a big way and that too not only in India, but across the globe amongst the Indian communities.” Ask him what does Holi mean to him and he says, “Holi to me means relatives, friends, people, fraternity, sweets, thandai and good food.”
The director, producer also remembers grand Holi bashes hosted by film folks from Bollywood.
While in the recent times it has only been a couple of people who host such parties, Bhandarkar mentions his most memorable ones, saying, “My most memorable filmy Holi parties have been the RK Studio (Chembur) ones where the whole Kapoor clan would come together. For two-three years I remember celebrating Holi there. Now, those kind of Holi parties don't happen in Bollywood. And yes, I definitely miss that.”
